Over the years, De Wijndragers has developed into a modern mustard, dressing and sauce producing company where the old craft is still of paramount importance. In mid-2008, the company came into contact with Normec Quality Assurance. “Normec Quality Assurance is a source of information for us at times when we are not sure.”
As a producer of mustard, sauces, mayonnaises and marinades, De Wijndragers is active in 26 countries. Their largest sales market covers the Benelux, Germany and Scandinavia. In mid-2008, the company came into contact with Normec Quality Assurance.
“We intended to have our company BRC certified. A now former Normec Quality Assurance employee was an associate of our previous owner. Which is how we ended up at Normec Quality Assurance”, says Milos ter Huurne, Production manager at De Wijndragers. “We were looking to connect theory with practice, knowledge of the legislation and wanted guidance for the BRC process.” At the time, Normec Quality Assurance supported de Wijndragers in this process and it still offers support every year. The Normec Quality Assurance project manager now supports the employees of De Wijndragers on the total quality system and in the field of legislation and regulations.
Normec Quality Assurance is nationally established with, amongst others, a branch in Zwolle. De Wijndragers is located on the same site as the Normec Quality Assurance site in Zwolle. “The process is short, flexible, fast and decisive. Because Normec Quality Assurance is housed in the same office complex, the lines are short.”
Ter Huurne indicates that the cooperation is enjoyable. “Normec Quality Assurance is a source of information for us at times when we are not sure. We can take all our questions and comments to the Normec Quality Assurance project manager. “In addition to BK services, De Wijndragers also makes use of other services by Normec Foodcare. Ter Huurne explains: “We use various services by Normec Foodcare, such as Normec Foodcare Online and Normec Foodlab. This suits us very well! In the future, we may also want support in checking new and existing labels. We are currently still doing this in-house.”
