Microbiological Analysis

The Normec Foodcare laboratory carries out various types of microbiological analysis on foods. Among other things, meat, poultry, vegetables, fruit, dairy products, bakery products and animal feed are examined in our laboratory.

Tailor-made research

We have the knowledge to know which analysis are important to you and which examinations must be carried out. Thanks to our expertise, we are able to carry out tailor-made research for every customer in the food industry. Always from the point of view of ‘research only what is needed’, to ensure that you don’t incur unnecessary costs. We investigate on the basis of the legal obligations and the parameters relevant to you. We can include this, for example, in a monitoring plan. Our microbiological analysis are carried out according to ISO standards. This means that our research meets international standards. The majority of our microbiological studies is accredited by the RvA (Dutch Accreditation Council).

Among other things, we carry out research into:

  • General indicators such as (An)aerobic germ count, (An)aerobic spore formers, Yeasts & Fungi, Lactic acid bacteria and Pseudomonas
  • Pathogens such as Bacillus cereus, Clostridium perfringens, E.coli (& EHEC), Listeria monocytogenes & spp, Salmonella spp, and sulphite reducing Clostridia
  • Water, including Clostridium perfringens, Coliforms, E.coli, Enterococci and germ count
